May 20, 2009

In full disclousrue Im diabetic now so this one no longer works for me. However it may well work for you.

Prep:

You will need a cookie sheet or a pizza tin will work if thats all you have, a sheet of wax paper will help. A microwave and clean hands is always a must. A big mixing bowl and you are on your way.

You will need

1 container of ready made chocolate frosting.

Briefly warm the peanut butter in the microwave. In a large mixing bowl mix  the peanut butter and rice crispys with a touch of honey. Roll the mixture into balls or make fun clumps of odd and random size! Whatever makes you happy! Take the lid and seal off the frosting and microwave it for like 15 seconds, pour it over the top of the peanut butter mix. Chill in the fridge until solid, and they are ready to go! If you want you can add shaved coconut to the peanut butter mix (reccomended btw!) and see how you like it!

Quick and easy. Candy! Enjoy!

“But I Can’t Cook!?” recipe for Arroz Con Pollo

A tradistional (or so the people in the Mexican place I eat at tell me) Spanish meal. Serves 1 to 2 depending on appetite. Don’t be scurred. I’mma hold your hand and help you get to the big boy (or girl) level. I promise you this will be a winner. This serves one hearty eater or two ‘I’m not that hungry’ types. This ghetto fast meal is sure to eat like you know what you are doing and slaved over the stove for ages when infact you did no such thing.

Ingredients List:

1 pouch Uncle Ben’s Vegatable Harvest Brown Rice (also available in Santa Fe for more spicy tastes)

uncleben2jan071

1 package of 6 oz. chicken.. whatever brand is on sale. There is a southwestern style for more kick

fajita-b-strips1 jar of any brand salsa

pacechunkmild1/2  package of shredded cheese.

cheese

Shredded lettuce, sour cream. diced tomatoes.

PREP TIME, 10 minutes or less

Follow the directions to cook the rice in 90 seconds in your food heater upper box. pour the contents onto one large plate. Follow the directions to make your hot box zap the chicken. Place the cooked chicken on top of the rice. Open and pour the salsa over the top. Stir ingredients to combine. Sprinkle the mixture with cheese and place back in the magic zapper box for 1 minute. Let stand in magic microwave. Grab one to two forks and enjoy!

If you are trying to impress that certain someone, divide mixture and place on two plates. Serve with chopped lettuce with a scoop of sour cream.
